The Colour House Theatre
The Colour House Theatre opened in the summer of 1995. The 500 year old Grade II listed building was used by Arthur Liberty to mix his fabric dyes in the early 1900’s.
Today the venue is open for a variety of theatre shows, events, music gigs and comedy. The theatre has become best known for it’s weekend Children’s Theatre which specialises in producing original musical adaptions of famous fairy tales. In 21 years the company has entertained over 100,000 children and they recently celebrated their 100th Production! The children’s theatre received charitable status in 2008 and still produces shows every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 4pm.
The theatre also hosts a well-established monthly Blues Club, Comedy Club and Chamber Concerts. All of this, in addition to regular touring productions and exhibitions makes the venue a busy and vibrant place to be!
The venue is also available for hire both commercially and privately.
