As we say goodbye to August and to another wonderful Abbeyfest, its now
time to welcome in September as the Mills gears up for a very big month
indeed! Firstly we welcome back the return of “Dark Mills”. After last years fantastic launch of the one day event we are really excited to be playing host once again, this year for two days - Sat 4th & Sun 5th. This is truly an amazing spectacle as Gothic followers from all around London and beyond come to the Mills to enjoy a family friendly extravaganza of art, music, performances and presentations to name but a few things that will be taking place. The real big news for us is the Markets new drive and initiative to create a thriving, expanded Arts and Crafts element to the site. Launching on the weekend of 11th and 12th we will have many more stalls offering wonderful hand-crafted products from artists to sculptors, dress makers to card makers, milliners to embroiderers. The Mills will truly be a hive of exciting and vibrant activity as we revisit our artistic heritage and aim to become, once again, a major focal point for Arts and Crafts in London. So please come along and see for yourself this exciting transformation. Take in the wonderful riverside setting, great atmosphere, lovely eateries & shops, and why not catch a great kids show as the Colour House Children’s Theatre opens its Autumn season with a musical production of Little Red Riding Hood. We look forward to seeing you soon Peter Wallder 020 8542 5511 |
