The London and Argyll group was formed in 1993 by Simon Carson and Michael Greene to acquire predominantly vacant and under utilized properties and sites which required substantial property expertise to improve the asset value.

In 1997 Terry Buckland joined with Simon and Michael having previously worked with Simon as Property Director and Managing Director respectively of St Andrews Land the property subsidiary of Hillsdown Holdings Plc, to focus on the creation of multi-let business schemes. They also established a development and trading operation to work alongside the existing investment operation.
